Cikgu Umi cakap... "Kalau awak semua nak berjaya macam senior-senior awak yang lain , dua perkara je awak kena jaga. Pertama , keberkatan ilmu cikgu. Kedua , coupling.

Pernah tak anda merasakan anda sudah bertungkus-lumus , selak la nota warna-warni anda berpuluh kali , tapi , tup tup , dalam dewan exam , anda lupa a.k.a blank? Mesti pernahkan? Andai pernah , marilah sama-sama kita kembali muhasabah diri , adab-adab kita sebagai penuntut. Mungkin inilah natijahnya jika kita kurang mengambil kira soal keberkatan. Ha! Mana nak berkat , kalau cikgu-cikgu pun kita tak hormat. Penat-penat mereka ajar , kita dok bergosip kat belakang.

Amin :)

A Report on The Lack of Interests in Sports Among Students

On behalf of the students of SMKA al-Khairiah , I would like to convey to you the reasons why students are not interested in sports. Last week , on 19th March 2013 , I had carried out a survey on the reasons of their lack of interests in sports. My target is my schoolmates. Based on my survey , I found that there are three main reasons why they are not interested in sports ; students themselves , lack of parents supports , and the facilities.

The first reason is the students themselves ; their attitude. They love to give a lot of excuses than involving in sports. Not only that , they also keep complaining that they are lack of time to involve the sports which means , they do not have enough time for sports. As we know and can see , in their daily routines , they have at least an hour for sports training every evening so , they have enough time for sports. On the other hand , parents also is a part of the reasons. Parents are too emphasized on their children’s academic performance. They said , "Sports are not really important to our children. How sports can improve our kids’ studies? We did not see that sports can change our kids’ achievements in studies". They also want teachers make lots of tuition classes for their children than encourage the students in sports. Students also complained about the facilities. They said that there are some insufficient sports equipment in school. Our field and courts are also in poor condition and need to be fixed as soon as possible.

However, I suggest some ways to overcome these problems. I think we must stress on the importance of sports to students. This is because , they do not have enough knowledge about the benefits of sports so , we must ask the sports teachers to stress their students about the benefits of sports during classes. In other hands , you should slow talk with the students’ parents. You can ask their parents to come to school and talk about their children activities. Furthermore , about the facilities , it is quite a long period to fix our school facilities. We want students to involve in sports so , we need to improve our facilities to ensure their safety during play. If not , of course their parents will make sure , their children will not involve in sports again. We do not want it happen as well.

Sir , our school need to hire more qualified trainers to take in charge the students. Every sports need a trainer. Maybe not for all sports but some of them , such as a trainer for badminton , football , rugby , netball , table tennis and tennis. We need students to be trained well. Co-curricular organization should organize more sports competition for students. They can held annual sport event to produce more good athletes. They also can offer many attractive prizes to be given away to the winning participants. Definitely , it will attract more students and encourage them in sports.

We hope the school authorities will cooperate and take some actions to overcome the issue the lack of interests of students in sports.

27th March 2013.

Dear Afiq,
It is quite been a long time I have not writing to you. How is your doing , bro? I hope you are always in the pink of health. We here are just fine and as fit as a fiddle. How is your final exam result? I am pretty sure that you are passed with flying colours. I believe that you are really enjoying this school break at your hometown. By the way , last night , I saw on television that your rugby team won the first place in representing Perak. Congratulations! You guys such an awesome team!

Anyway , actually I write this letter to tell you that I just got a letter from Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) , about furthering my study there. You know what? I was so surprised and really excited when I got the offer. I feel that I just want to jump higher and shout loudly to express my happiness to the crowd. Oh! I almost forget to tell you that I will start my study a year from now…but , I have little problem. I am not really sure which stuff that I REALLY need to prepare myself when getting in the university. Either a laptop or a scooter. I really need your advice in choosing between the laptop or the scooter. I still thinking to get a better choice.

Afiq…I think , if I choose the laptop , it will be a good assistant for me in finishing all my assignments and make my works done easier. Plus , it can be carried everywhere I want. Moreover , I can do research on the Internet using the laptop for various assignments ; group projects , additional information , and more. Furthermore , laptop is very useful whenever the library is lack of resources , so I think , this stuff is very useful to me. Yeah , right! With the basic of technology knowledge , I am sure it may help me to be succeed in my future. I guess I should buy the laptop first.

By the way , deep inside me tells me to buy the scooter first. The scooter can transport to class. It will be easier for me because , I no need to wait longer for a bus or the other public transports which sometimes can make me late to reach the class. I wonder that the scooter will make me arrive to class on time. Time is gold! I do not have to rely on public transports to the class because , I know that , people will occupy space and make me hard to breath. It will totally compact with an atmosphere of people in a bus as well. Anyway , a scooter is more cheaper to be compared to a laptop. Besides , I got my riding licence and I think I should buy a scooter first for myself. Perhaps…?

So , what say you? I was little bit wacky thinking about it over and over again. Please help me , my lovely cousin. Please help me to choose either the laptop or the scooter. I really blanked! I hope you will reply my letter. Anyway , please send my regard to your family. Thanks for spending your golden time to read my severe problem (not really actually , oh drama!). Bye…till pen meets paper again! See you!

Yours sincerely ,
Liyana :)

A person that I like very much

A person that I liked very much is , Naim. He was my best friend since we were in Form Three. We were classmates on the moment , for the first time ever. The main reason I liked him much because of his characters. He was just same as the other boys , but physically , he is a tall and good-looking guy. He was the famous student in school because of his achievements in sports. Sometimes , I little bit awkward to build a friendship with him. I just do not know why , but in fact , he has a character that make me adore him most ; his sincerity. Yes... . Naim is a true friend indeed. He never chose friends. He really comfort to be friends with almost everyone. I know that. I believe in him and we are very closed. He always help and support me. He had been with me through thick and thin.He has all the qualities of a good friend. I really appreciate him for being there for me whenever I need him.

I still remember the moment he helped me in Geography. I always get trouble with the subject. I never scored well in Geography , but Naim was an expert in the subject. He seem to be able to understand all that had been taught in Mrs.Chan class. He could also memorize all the facts and the name places same as Mrs.Chan who has been teaching for over ten years. He was so amazing! He always scored the highest mark for the subject. Since I was weak in Geography , he offered to help me on my studies. I guest , I couldn’t do it without Naim’s help. Due to his help and guidance , I did well in my Geography test. I was not only passed , but I even scored a better grade , which is an ‘A’ for my Geography. My parents also surprised with my drastic improvement. I owed Naim much for his patience teaching me and spent a lot of time at school library for the extra tutors. I was so grateful to him.

He had faced a lot of troubles in order to help me with my studies. He never refused to lend me a hand even when he was also busy with his homework and sport trainings. One day , a day before our examination , Penilaian Menengah Rendah (PMR) , he studied with me until dusk. I was very happy that Naim was with me because I needed his help as well as moral support. I was not feeling confident about the coming examination , but Naim helped me with all the subjects that I was weak at. Thanks to him , I got 8A's in PMR and as targeted ,and Naim also got 8A's. We had done a good job. You are a good friend , Naim...I admit it.

Apart of my studies , Naim also supportive in other things. In June , a group of my batch spread a cruel rumors about me. They said that , I am a bad girl. I am a social girl , like to be a couple with many boys. Who are they to said like that? My tears fell down and I was crying. I was so sad. After that incident , the others started teasing me. Naim did not join them. He did not believe that cruel rumors. He had known me well. Naim stood by my side instead. As I felt really hurt by the rumors , Naim convinced me that everything will turn out fine. He told me that it would be better if I just brush off those rumors as my batch would later realised that the rumors were not true. I was so glad that he was there for me when I had no one else to turn to.

We have been friend since we were in form three. During that year , we undergo and share many experiences together. Our friendship become tight. Naim is a mentally and emotionally tough boy , so he is the one who would stand up for me and advise me when I feel lost and refused to fight. I am so lucky to have him as my best friend. Till now , his character , sincerity in friendship still remain the same , nothing change. Naim , you are the person that I like very much until now even I had moved out from that school.

*it is a sample and simple essay ,
it is about the person who I like very MUCH ,
I dedicated it to my best friend , Muhammad Naim bin Abdul Ghani ,
hope he will like it because only these , I can give it to him to make him happy :)
friend forever , insyaAllah.
